Exploration of innovative materials for specific applications: development of methodologies to improve the characteristics of natural zeolites for environmental protection, agriculture and food industry; use of nanoparticles in modern medicine and advanced materials for healthcare; simulated biological fluids and in vitro release testing; development of methods and technologies to recover the precious metals from spent catalysts and electronic waste; use of vine shoot waste for manufacturing innovative cement composites; establish the origin of glazed ceramics using isotopic ratios; development of thin film deposition and processing technologies and devices; development of methods to modify the molecular morphology of thin films to improve the efficiency of donor-acceptor active materials; development of techniques to control the crystal structure of thin films in order to modify the optoelectronic properties of organic polymeric materials.
