Objectives:
supporting the implementation of informatic data management solutions for healthcare data at the Romanian healthcare level, through conceiving, developing and promoting a so called Electronic Health Record – EHR (“Dosar Electronic de Sanatate al Patientului – DESP”).
OBJECTIVES |
|
DESCRIPTION | EHR represents and incorporates the collection of medical data supplied by healthcare units where the patient has undergone medical services. It mainly refers to the healthcare information collected during the check-in of the patient at the healthcare facilities (such as: results of clinical examination, diagnoses established, treatments applied, results of investigations etc.), as well as to the patient medical information in specialized ambulatory units and the family physician office. This distributed informatic system, which constitutes the EHR infrastructure, will ease, through mechanisms specific to data mining and the use of mobile software agents, the quick, efficient and secure access to patients healthcare data or specific aggregated information, from various access sites. In order to fulfill interoperability requirements, data communication in the Electronic Health Record will be implemented according to the European standard EN 13606. The goal will be to obtain an efficient model that will be able to ensure quality, quantity, security and accessibility of the healthcare information stored in the system for its users. The means to realize the proposed objectives is based on studying the requirements, possibilities and ways of adapting some standards specific to the communication of medical data, followed by the design and development of an efficient distributed informatic system to ensure its users quality, quantity, security and accessibility of the medical information. |
