Objectives:
To obtain some bioethanol-based ecologic biopetrols from white beet;
To find the optimal white beet hybrids that will be used for obtaining bioethanol, successfully adapted to the pedo-climatic conditions of the region;
To obtain bioethanol using a new and non-conventional technology of conversion and capitalization of the renewable sources of energy (white beet biomass);

DESCRIPTION | One of the general objectives of the CEEX program is represented by the production of the renewable fuels and the superior use of biomass for obtaining energy. BIOBENZ represents a good answer for the above mentioned requirements through the elaboration of a new, modern, non-conventional technology for biomass capitalization, that will lead to the greening of the surface transport. The project execution will develop and strengthen a research network that will be connected to the priorities and the specific objectives PT19 Plants for the Future technological platform (the superior capitalization of white beet will lead to a sustainable development of the agriculture and a rational use of the agricultural fields). Other Informations | 1. Economical effects The increasing of the romanian research visibility in biofuels field (participating at international conferences and symosiums, adhering to different european organisms, publications, visits, etc.) along with the improvment of the material base of consortium laboratories, contributed to the incresing of the prestige and the possibility to contract some bilateral research programs. So, the BIOBENZ consortium was contracted by the european branch of american firm O2 Diesel. Negotiations has begun in order to develop a research program regarding the elaboration of new biofuels: petrol/vegetal oil+bioethanol+ x substance. The scientific prestige won by consortium members contributed to their involvment as experts (from Romania) for editing the new UE Directive regarding the renewable energy (which will be launched at the end of this year).2.
