DESCRIPTION |
BIOHID submits, in the first stages of the project, an experimental development which will be focused on the optimization of the technological solution for second generation hydrogen enriched biofuel, produced in a catalytic treatment pilot plant that will be especially created for this purpose.
The project novelty is given by:
- Biofuel production technology: The technological solution proposed by this project represents an absolute novelty at international level, being enframed within the technologies for refining fuels destined for internal combustion engines. The technology proposed for producing a “reformulated biodiesel” starts with the catalytic treatment with hydrogen enriched gas of the triglycerides contained in vegetable oils and animal fats, which leads to the obtaining of fatty acids and glycerin. In order to obtain the “reformulated bio-diesel”, the catalytic hydrogenation of the previously obtained fatty acids is continued until reaching fatty alcohols and superior alkanes. Nevertheless, the catalytic hydrogenation with hydrogen enriched gas of the fat acids esters, classically obtained by the methyl-transesterification of the triglycerides is taken into consideration.
- The pilot plant for obtaining enriched biofuel. The obtained pilot plant has a high innovative level due to its worldwide uniqueness, starting with the operational technologic parameters separately obtained on the traditional technological lines for obtaining bio-diesel as well as those obtained in the pilot plant for producing the hydrogen enriched gas destined for the catalytic or non-catalytic treatment of the fossil fuels.
