Objectives:

development of an innovative, cost-efficient and safe technology for the production of green alternative fuel from waste vegetable oils whose application leads to reduction of greenhouse emissions;
construction of a pilot plant that will use this technology;

OBJECTIVES
  • innovative, cost-efficient and safe technology for the production of biofuels from waste vegetable oils through enzymatic transesterification;
  • optimization of the elaborated technology and technological transfer to a pilot plant;
  • patent proposal;
  • the influence of treating with hydrogen rich gas of resulted biodiesel from the enzymatic transesterification process;
  • PC7 project proposal with this topic;
  • master and doctoral thesis in the topic of biofuels obtained through enzymatic methods and their use in transport.
DESCRIPTION The project has the following purposes:

  • development of an innovative, cost-efficient and safe technology for the production of green alternative fuel from waste vegetable oils whose application leads to reduction of greenhouse emissions;
  • construction of a pilot plant that will use this technology;
  • technology patent.

The aim of this project is:

  • development of a technology for 2nd generation biofuels production using the enzymatic transesterification of waste oils;
  • construction of a pilot plant where this technology will be applied, transferred to the co-financing beneficiary for its development;
  • creating a framework for the Romanian research in this field and for its connection with the ultimate concerns of similar groups in Europe;
  • promotion of fundamental research with applicative character in the opening of new horizons in the production of renewable fuels;
  • scientific foundation of new solutions for the production of biofuels and the assurance of knowledge transfer from CD units and universities to SMEs;
  • development of new, modern, unconventional, clean technologies for the capitalization of renewable sources to reduce greenhouse emissions.
