Objectives:
the development of innovative techniques for the application of modern non-invasive diagnostic imaging techniques, with a view to transferring results from research to clinical practice;
the development of clinical applications of non-invasive highly-technical methods, which will allow an increased diagnostic accuracy and will reduce the duration and cost of diagnosis, by non-invasive techniques.

OBJECTIVES
  • the development of innovative techniques for the application of modern non-invasive diagnostic imaging techniques, with a view to transferring results from research to clinical practice;
  • the development of clinical applications of non-invasive highly-technical methods, which will allow an increased diagnostic accuracy and will reduce the duration and cost of diagnosis, by non-invasive techniques.
DESCRIPTION           In this project, one initiates some interdisciplinary studies, in which the promotion and sustainment of strategic and applied research are desired, for a better understanding of the human sickening mechanisms, in curing the pathologic diseases and preventing the illnesses that have a major impact among population, such as osteoporosis. One promotes intersectorialand multidisciplinary research according with other fields, such as biochemistry, so as to understand the chronic degenerative pathology and the cellular mechanisms of occurring osteoporosis, as well as the informatics for generating the risk maps (GIS data basis). At the national level, the precocious hunting out and finding efficient solutions for preventing and curing osteoporosis represent both a priority and a challenge, because the present medical treatment is very expensive and not affordable for the majority of the patients. Moreover, the higher and higher number of existing cases in the data basis of the Recovery Hospital from Cluj-Napoca and other centers that are preoccupied with the musculo-skeletal pathology represent alarming signals regarding the incidence of this disease. The project fulfillment leads both to the development and aprofoundationof the research directions in the cutting edge of medicine, biochemistry and informatics and to the consolidation of a competitive position of the Romanian science at international level. Through the specific objectives of the project, it frames up in the national program, because one will develop some medical research for the fundamentation of the activities and health promotion, the prevention of osteoporosis and the development of a new, modern and efficient method of primary health aid.
